A Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management activities that ensure the timely and cost effective acquisition of goods, services, and materials needed for operations. This role involves strategic supplier selection, contract negotiation, cost optimization, and collaboration with internal teams to support project and business goals while maintaining compliance with policies and quality standards.
As a Procurement Manager at Qualships Engineering & IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, you will be responsible for leading and managing all procurement activities that support the company’s engineering, project execution, and operational functions. You will develop and implement strategic sourcing plans, identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts for materials and services, and ensure timely delivery of quality goods at competitive costs. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams such as engineering, operations, finance, and logistics to forecast needs, optimize spending, and mitigate supply chain risks, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. • Manage procurement budgets and control spending, tracking costs and
identifying savings opportunities.
• Ensure compliance and risk management in procurement processes,
including regulatory, ethical and internal policy adherence
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and quality standards, using
key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure suppliers meet contractual
obligations and maintain required quality levels.
• Conduct market research and spend analysis to identify cost-saving
opportunities, forecast future needs, and support data-driven
procurement decisions that enhance efficiency and value.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration,
Logistics, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or supply chain (typically 5+ years) with a
successful track record in supplier negotiation and contract management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including the ability to interpret
data, build supplier relationships, and collaborate with internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree/master’s degree (e.g., MBA, Supply Chain Management) or
advanced education in a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, CSCP, or similar
procurement/supply chain credentials.
• Experience with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba,
Oracle, Coupa) and familiarity with strategic sourcing tools.
